The Event

Imagine the sound of thousands of bells jingling as people from all over Indiana run, walk and cheer in the 27th Annual Indianapolis Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis® presented locally by OrthoIndy. Bells will be ringing as 3,500 people like you tie jingle bells to their shoelaces, don festive holiday costumes and join friends and neighbors in support of the Arthritis Foundation's mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis® raises awareness of the nation's most common cause of disability, while raising desperately needed funds to find a cure for arthritis.

The Arthritis Foundation

The Arthritis Foundation also provides a large number of community-based programs and services nationwide to make life with arthritis easier and less painful.

Kathryn Hardin

Kathryn Hardin is a fun-loving, eight-year-old girl who enjoys many activities including dancing, swimming and cheerleading, just to name a few. However, it has not always been easy for her as she has lived with arthritis for most of her life. When she was just 19-months-old, her parents grew concerned when she began limping and refused to walk in the mornings.

Lisa Lohrey

Lisa Lohrey's battle with arthritis began while traveling for work. Her leg started to swell, but it was not until after multiple doctors' appointments and an arsenal of tests that she was finally diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Lisa is a fourth generation rheumatoid arthritis patient and she has worked in health care for over 30 years. "I should have known sooner. I've seen this before," she admits.
